Latest Technology

We use the renowned EZY CHEK Locator Plus Tank testing System from Estabrook. Developed in the US, the EZY CHEK system uses acoustically-based technology which is non-volumetric to test tanks containing either liquid or gas. By analysing the acoustic profile differences between normal sound bubbles and leakage into the ullage space, it is possible to pinpoint the location and severity of the leak.

Another advantage of acoustic testing is that your tank can be tested at virtually any liquid level. EZY CHEK can test tanks with a maximum tank volume up to 30,000 gallon ( 113,500 L). Testing is so efficient that tank down time can be as little as 30 minutes.

Final analysis and certification is carried out by our project partner Primo Fuels.

The Process

Tank Testing

We first isolate the tank. The testing equipment is installed and the preliminary (control) audible test carried out. The tank is then subjected to a vacuum and after a prescribed period of time the second audible test is carried out. The results of both tests are graphed and compared, which highlights any anomalies which may be present within the tank.

Vent Line Test Process

We isolate the vent line and perform a vacuum test, waiting a prescribed period of time at a designated vacuum and note the results.

Suction Line Test Process

We isolate the suction line with the anaconda blanked off and pressure test the suction line from the browser to the non-return valve situated on the top of the tank.

VR1 Test Process

We isolate the vent lines from the tank then vacuum or pressure test the vapour recovery lines at a designated vacuum or pressure as is required.
